PAYMENT OF NON-REFUNDABLE FEES: REGISTRATION OF SUPPLIERS

This serves to inform you that the rules and fees for Registration of Suppliers and Contractors have been revised as follows:

(i) Registration of suppliers shall be limited to goods and services that are procured on a repetitive or continuous basis;

(ii) Registration of Contractors, Quantity Surveyors, Architects and Engineers to be undertaken by the National Council for Construction only;

(iii) Registration of the following items shall be undertaken by the Zambia National Tender Board only :-




Category A: Goods Sub-Category
Office Equipment A1
Office Furniture A2
Air Conditioners and Lifts A3
Stationery and Office Supplies A4
Electrical and General Hardware A5
Motor Vehicles and Spare Parts A6
Uniforms and Protective Clothing A7
Cleaning Materials A8
Hospital Equipment and Material A9
Pharmaceuticals A10
Agricultural Inputs A11
Agriculture Equipment A12
Radio and Communication A13
Food Stuffs A14
School Desks A15
Category B: Services
Office Equipment Repairs and Maintenance B1
Printing B3
Sanitary Services B4
Insurance B5
Motor Vehicle Repair and Maintenance B6
Customs Clearing B7
Medical Services B8

(iv) All the above categories are to be registered only with the Zambia National Tender Board;

(v) Registration period shall be 3 years; and

(vi) Non-refundable fees shall not exceed Fifty Thousand Kwacha (K50,000.00).

Please note that this Circular supercedes Circular No. 1 of 2005.
